How to play 8-Ball Pool
- Break from behind the line: drag the white anywhere there first, or just shoot.
- The table is open until someone pots a ball after the break: that ball’s group, solids or stripes, is theirs. Pot yours and keep shooting.
- Hit one of your own balls first, then pot a ball or send one to a cushion. Miss, pot the white or hit the wrong ball first and it’s a foul: the other player gets the white in hand, anywhere on the table.
- Once your group is down, tap a pocket to call the 8 and sink it there to win. The 8 in too soon, in the wrong pocket, or a foul on the 8, and you lose.

Is pool free on Utopia?
Yes: two players on one phone play for free. The tables against Chip have a coin entry, and the winner takes the pot.
How much do the pool tables cost?
Lagoon: 200 coins in, 380 to the winner. Dunes: 1,000 in, 1,900. Neon City: 5,000 in, 9,500. Summit: 25,000 in, 47,500.
What do cues do?
Power is how hard a cue can hit, Aim is how far its guide reaches (from 70 it shows the bounce off a cushion), and Spin is how far off centre the tip can strike. Everyone has the Utopia Classic.
How do I upgrade a cue?
With coins, a level at a time. Regular cues go up to level 5, animated cues (Rare, Epic, Legendary and Mythic) up to level 10.
